Sohag first province-friendly for people with special needs in Egypt and Middle East

The governor of Sohag Dr. / Ayman Abdel Moneim Launched an initiative in collaboration with Dr. / Heba Hagras General Secretary of the National Council of Disability in the Council’s ministers. The initiative is working to make the province of Sohag first province in Egypt and the Middle East friendly to persons with special needs. The application comes through affording the possibility in all service facilities in the cities of the province, such as transportation, parks, sidewalks and spaces parking for their own cars as well as affording the availability of special tourist areas in Sohag.
This came during the visit of Dr. / Heba Hagras to the province and meanwhile her meeting with the governor to discuss the mechanisms of implementing this initiative. As long as the National Council of Disability will provide and supply the Province with the professional technical consultations required to be implemented on the ground.
However Dr/ Ayman stressed on overcoming difficulties facing people with special needs and providing ways to comfort and guarantee their rights likewise not as a favor or advantage from anyone as he said.
For her part, Dr / Heba emphasized on the role of the National Council of Disability in the Awareness in all its forms especially the political form to coincide with the upcoming parliamentary elections very soon.
An Educational workshop was also held regarding this event in the presence of Mr. Vice manager of Youth and Sports Directorate in Sohag, Coach of the Egyptian Center for Women’s Rights, as well as a delegation from the National Council of Disability, displaying through which some of the Council’s achievements represented in submitting the dwarves category to the category of the disabled and grant them the equality as well as all the same rights.
It is memorable to mention also that Dr Ayman / has inaugurated the first waiting place for people with special needs in Upper Egypt in the twenty-first of September last.
